THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday said that ideas and leaders who turned their backs on the freedom struggle will not be glorified. The CM was responding to the controversy related to the inclusion of works of RSS leaders in the syllabus of Kannur University.

"Any reactionary idea will have to be examined. However, it should not be glorified. The university has already taken effective action. A two-member expert committee has been appointed to look into the matter. The members of the committee are Dr. J Prabhash and Dr. KS Pavithran. We will take a stand on this matter on their recommendation. I do not think anyone will doubt the position of Kerala in this matter," the CM said.
