Retd sub-inspector and team barge into house and attack woman and son, RTI activist beaten brutally

KOLLAM: A retired sub-inspector and his team barged into a house and attacked a RTI activist and his mother brutally. The incident happened at Karunagappally in Kollam. RTI activist Sreekumar and his mother Ammini Amma were attacked by the five-member team led by retired sub-inspector Rasheed.

The mother and son were beaten using an iron rod. Sreekumar said they were attacked for lodging a complaint against the illegal construction of Rasheed’s son. The two sought treatment. It is not clear whether the police have registered a case.
