Six-year-old boy bludgeoned to death by cousin in Idukki

IDUKKI: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old boy was bludgeoned to death. The incident happened at Anachal in Idukki. The dead has been identified as Althaf, son of Riyaz of Amakkulam. The accused has been identified as Shajahan, a relative of the boy. He is absconding.

Family problems are the cause of the murder. Shahjahan, is the boy’s aunt’s husband. There were some issues between the families for quite some time. The accused barged into the boy’s house and committed the act.

Shahjahan hit the boy with a hammer on his head. He also beat the boy's mother, grandmother and brother. Police have intensified a search for Shahjahan.
