THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cherian Philip said that he will not be able to take over as Khadi Board vice chairman as he is engaged in writing on the political history of Kerala. The government appointed Cherian Philip in the vacancy following the resignation of Shobana George from the post. In a Facebook post, he mentioned that sale of khadi along with writing book would be difficult.

He said that as he is engaged in writing about the undercurrents of modern political history, will not be able to take over Khadi Board post.

Although he wanted to write a sequel to the book Kaal Noottandu published 40 years ago, he was unable to do so due to his political schedule. History cannot be imagined like a story or a poem. Extensive research is needed to gather and collect facts. Cherian Philip mentioned in the post that it is difficult to sell khadi and write history together.
