NEW DELHI: The President has approved the Supreme Court's recommendation to appoint new Chief Justices in eight high courts across the country and transfer four chief justices. Justices Rajesh Bindal (Allahabad), Ranjit V More (Meghalaya), Satish Chandra Sharma (Telangana), Prakash Srivastava (Kolkata), RV Malimath (Madhya Pradesh), Rituraj Ashwathy (Karnataka), Arvind Kumar (Gujarat), Prashant Kumar Mishra (Andhra) were appointed as the new Chief Justices.
Tripura Chief Justice AA Qureshi and Rajasthan Chief Justice Indrajith Mahanti have replaced each other. Justice Mohammad Rafique was transferred from Madhya Pradesh to Himachal Pradesh, Justice Bishwanath Somathar from Meghalaya to Sikkim and Justice AK Goswami from Andhra Pradesh to the Chhattisgarh High Court.
