Malayalee shines in Miss World Singapore; Niveda Jayashankar wins the second princess title

SINGAPORE: A Malayalee has shined in this year's Miss World Singapore finale. Niveda Jayashankar, a Malayalee, won the Second Princess title in the final held yesterday. Khai Ling Ho is the winner of Miss World Singapore.

Niveda is the only Indian to reach the final round of Miss World Singapore. Niveda also won the Miss Photogenic and Miss Goodwill Ambassador titles.

Niveda, who holds a degree in mechanical engineering, works as an analyst at Union Overseas Bank in Singapore. She also volunteers for NGOs that provide learning facilities for children in homes without basic living facilities. She is the eldest daughter of Jayashankar and Nanditha Menon, both Malayalees from Singapore.
