Kerala likely to receive heavy rain till Friday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a possibility of heavy rain in the state till Friday. The cyclone is expected to intensify in the Bay of Bengal in the coming days. The south-central districts will receive the highest rainfall. Yellow alert was declared in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram and Kozhikode today. People in hilly areas should be careful as there is a risk of landslides. Fishermen should be cautious as strong winds are expected in the Middle East Arabian Sea.
