KSRTC Scaniya bus collides with lorry; driver seriously injured

KRISHNAGIRI: A driver sustained serious injuries after a KSRTC Scania bus and a lorry collided. The incident happened at Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu. The injured has been identified as Harish Kumar, the bus driver.

He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Krishnagiri. All the other passengers are reported to be safe. The accident happened at Salem Hozur Road near Krishnagiri.

The KSRTC bus was proceeding to Bengaluru from the capital city. The accident occurred just 20 kilometres before the bus reached Krishnagiri. The bus hit behind the lorry which was in the front. The portion where the driver was sitting has been completely damaged. The driver may have dozed off leading to the accident.
