Person who attacked Bindu Ammini identified; arrest after registering complainant’s statement

KOZHIKODE: The person who attacked activist Bindu Ammini has been identified. Bindu was attacked by Mohandas, a native of Beypore. Police said Mohandas, a fisherman, attacked her in an inebriated condition.

The official investigating the case said her detailed statement will be taken and his arrest will be registered after that. Police said Mohandas also sustained injuries in the scuffle.

Bindu Ammini was attacked last evening. She had alleged that RSS is behind the incident and that the police and the attacker are colluding. She had posted a video footage of the incident on her Facebook page.
