Kerala records 28,481 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 39 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 28,481 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 27,522 persons developed the disease through contact, including 579 cases without an identified source of infection. 165 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 215 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

7303 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,42,512 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 39 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 51,026.

Thiruvananthapuram 6911, Ernakulam 4013, Kozhikode 2967, Thrissur 2622, Kottayam 1758, Kollam 1604, Palakkad 1546, Malappuram 1375, Pathanamthitta 1328, Kannur 1170, Alappuzha 1087, Idukki 969, Kasaragod 606, Wayanad 525.
