Pregnant cow shot dead and meat smuggled; Three including YouTuber held

KOLLAM: Three people including a YouTuber were arrested following a complaint for allegedly shooting to death animals in an oil palm estate in Erur. The meat was later smuggled. Those arrested are Kamaruddin, a native of Kadakkal, Irakuzhi, his son Rajeef and Hillary, a native of Kochanjilimoodu.

They were arrested on the complaint lodged by a native of Kulathupuzha. The gang shot dead her pregnant cow. The locals had informed the police about a suspicious vehicle seen in the area. In an investigation conducted based on this, the YouTuber and his gang were arrested.

Rajeef is the main accused in the case. Their manner is to hunt the animals in the plantation areas and take them to various places for sale. The gun and explosives used for it found hidden were seized from the accused.
