kk

SASTHAMKOTTA: A housewife who jumped into the Kallada river was rescued by the fire force after a 12-hour search. West Kallada native Bindu was miraculously rescued by the Sasthamcotta Fire Force and District Scuba Team.

The fire force and the scuba team reached the spot after the police informed them that a woman had fallen into the river near the Thiruvatta temple on Sunday morning. Although a search was conducted in the morning, the fire force and scuba team were not able to find Bindu. By evening, Bindu was found 400 metres away from the spot near a bushy area. The woman was lying unconscious when they rescued her. Following this, she was given CPR and taken to a nearby private hospital.
