Case against make-up artist Anees Ansari after pravasi Malayalee lodges complaint, search intensifies for him

KOCHI: The police have registered a fourth case against bridal make-up artist Anees Ansari. The case was registered on the complaint lodged by a Malayalee woman in Australia. Her complaint said that he misbehaved with her and harassed her sexually while doing make-up for her at the time of her marriage. She said that she couldn’t respond or tell anyone about it as it was her wedding day.

The woman in Australia lodged the complaint via e-mail when Me Too allegations were levelled against Anees. The police had informed her that they cannot take a case as it was not a signed copy. She later sent a signed copy of the complaint to the police commissioner and after examining it, they spoke to her. After registering her statement, a fourth case was registered against him. Anees of Chakkaraparambu in Ernakulam, is at large. Though it was speculated that he had escaped to Dubai, his passport was obtained in a search conducted at his house.
