Mullaperiyar case: Final hearing from today

NEW DELHI: The final hearing in the Mullaperiyar case will begin in the Supreme Court from Tuesday. The case is being heard by a bench of Justices AM Khanwilker, Dinesh Maheshwari and CT Ravikumar.

The court had made it clear that the water level (rule curve), instrumentation, the shutter opening and the structure of the oversight committee were all related to the safety of the dam.

The lawyers of the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and other parties had discussed and agreed on the issues to be considered during the final hearing.
