THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Edavela Babu shared fond memories of Dr Rema, noted forensic expert and wife of actor Jagadish. He said that he and his colleagues have lost a person where we could approach her for any emergency purposes. We used to call her Rema Chechi. When actor Kalabhavan Mani died, the post-mortem was supposed to be conducted at Alappuzha or Thrissur. He said that he had called Dr Rema and that it was she who arranged in conducting the post mortem in Thrissur.
The actor said that as she was his uncle, a forensic expert’s junior, had a close rapport with her. She was an accomplished doctor and a good individual. Rema Chechi, a strong person had given courage to Jagadish. She was suffering from Parkinson's disease for six years. She was bedridden for one and a half years. It was due to her strength of mind, she lived so long, he said.
