NEW DELHI: The rise in Covid spread in the country is turning into a matter of grave concern. The cases have doubled within the last 24 hours. 2,183 new cases were reported on Monday. The case numbers were 1,150 on Sunday.
The increase in death rate is also raising concerns in the state. 214 Covid deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. 62 Covid deaths were reported last day in Kerala alone. Only four deaths were recorded on Sunday.

Meantime, the recovery rate in the country is 98.76 percent. A total of 1,985 people have recovered in the last 24 days. The weekly and daily test positivity rates are 0.32 percent and 0.83 percent respectively. As of now, there are 11,542 cases in the country. 186.54 crore vaccines have been administered in India. The vaccination rate of those aged between 12 and 14 is 2.43 crore.
Meantime, the number of Covid cases and positivity rate are increasing in the capital city of Delhi. The test positivity rate is five percent. The Covid spread in the schools of Delhi is also a matter of serious concern. Last day, 517 cases were reported in the capital.
