KABUL: At least 11 persons were killed and several others were injured following an explosion at a mosque in Afghanistan. The incident took place at a Shi'ite mosque in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday afternoon. The explosion took place when a large number of devotees arrived at the mosque for prayers. The mosque was damaged in the attack. Rescue operations are continuing in the area. Four soldiers were reported killed in the blast.
