At least 11 persons killed in terrorist attack in Afghanistan

KABUL: At least 11 persons were killed and several others were injured following an explosion at a mosque in Afghanistan. The incident took place at a Shi'ite mosque in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday afternoon. The explosion took place when a large number of devotees arrived at the mosque for prayers. The mosque was damaged in the attack. Rescue operations are continuing in the area. Four soldiers were reported killed in the blast.

Meanwhile, terrorist attacks took place in Nangarhar and Kunduz. Six people, including two children, have been injured in an explosion in Kabul. Afghanistan has been witnessing a series of explosions for the last few days. Six people were killed in an attack on a Shia school near Kabul.
