E-carts to move city waste; new step to reduce air pollution, says Mayor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mayor Arya Rajendran on Thursday inaugurated the distribution of 25 e-carts purchased for waste disposal in all the 100 wards of Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. The inauguration took place at the Corporation's main office today morning.


The e-carts were announced in the budget of the Corporation for the financial year 2022-23 for the purpose of 'Low Carbon Ananthapuri'. A number of projects have been announced in the budget to reduce air pollution in the capital. The mayor shared pictures of the inauguration on her Facebook page.
