HARIDWAR: A couple has approached the court against their son and daughter-in-law demanding a grandchild within a year. The incident took place at Haridwar in Uttarakhand. Despite being married six years ago, the son and daughter-in-law are yet to have children. S R Prasad and his wife approached the court against this. They have now demanded Rs 2.5 crore each from their son and daughter-in-law.

SR Prasad says that they didn’t care about gender, they just want a grandchild. The couple sent their son to America for education and took a home loan from a bank and now all the money is gone. "We invest in our children, make them capable of working in good firms. Children owe their parents basic financial care. The parents have demanded either a grandchild within a year or compensation of Rs 5 crores,” said the couple's Advocate AK Srivastava.
