KOCHI: Only the survey method has been changed. SilverLine project will not be abandoned, said LDF convener E P Jayarajan. The government is in no way trying to create a conflict. The opposition should clarify whether they will cooperate if the survey method is changed, he said. The new decision has not been made on account of the Thrikkakkara bypolls, Jayarajan said while talking to the media.

This is the state government’s crucial decision to overcome the protests against K-Rail. It has been decided to use GPS system for the social impact study. The revenue department has issued an order in the regard. The new decision comes in the backdrop of huge protests and controversies over the laying of stones. While the opposition called it as the victory of protesters, the government has said that only the survey method has been changed and the survey will go on.
