Woman arrested for beating man to death when tried to molest her

PATHANAMTHITTA: A woman beat a man to death for trying to molest her in an inebriated condition. The dead has been identified as Shasidharan Pillai (50) of Neduvathoor in Kottarakkara. The police have arrested Rajani (43) of Nellimuruppu.

Pillai, who was staying alone, got acquainted with Rajani six months ago. He used to visit her quite often. Rajani estranged from her husband was staying with her son. Pillai, who reached her home on Sunday, caught her when she was sleeping. Rajani, who woke up got an iron rod lying there and then hit him on his head. Police said Rajini is on medication for insomnia.

On being informed, the police reached the spot and took Pillai to the hospital, but died last night. Shortly Rajani was arrested, produced in court and remanded.
