Decisive for Vijay Babu today, HC to pronounce verdict on anticipatory bail plea

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court will pronounce the verdict on the anticipatory bail plea of actor and producer Vijay Babu in the case of sexually abusing a young actress. The actor had informed the court that the relation with the actress was consensual and the complaint was part of a blackmailing for not offering her role in a new film. The actor argued that he had cooperated with the investigation as per court’s directive and that he should not be questioned again after taking him into custody.

However, the actress has informed the court that she was subjected to severe sexual harassment and exploitation by him. The prosecution also told the court that they want him in custody and more investigation has to be conducted.
