LUCKNOW: Ten people were killed when a truck carrying devotees, who were returning from Haridwar, crashed into a tree on the Pilibhit National Highway in Uttar Pradesh. Seven people, who sustained injuries in the accident, have been admitted to the hospital. The incident took place at around 4:30 am, on Thursday.
The devotees were coming back from Haridwar to Lakhimpur in Uttar Pradesh. There were 17 people in the vehicle. Of which, 10 died on the spot. Five of the injured are undergoing treatment at the district hospital, while two others are at a hospital in Bareilly. The accident took place under Gajraula police station limits.
