BENGALURU: An eight-year-old Malayali girl died after inhaling pesticides. She has been identified as Ahana, daughter of Vinod of Kannur. The incident happened at Vasant Nagar in Bengaluru. The child's parents are undergoing treatment in the hospital's intensive care unit.

The incident happened when the family returned home after the owner asked them to stay away for two days to clean the rented house. After sleeping for two hours, the family developed discomfort but thought to be due to travel fatigue. Then the child's health condition deteriorated and their relatives came and took the three to the hospital. The condition of the child's father is also critical. Doctors said the cause of death was inhalation of an insecticide like substance. They said it will be clear only after the post-mortem. Relatives have alleged a mystery in the incident.
