Tragic end for travel influencer after falling into 300-foot gorge while taking reels

MUMBAI: A social media influencer and travel vlogger died after falling into a 300-foot gorge while taking reels. Aanvi Kamdar (27), a native of Mulund in Mumbai, met with the tragic end. The incident happened last Tuesday. She slipped and fell into the gorge near the Kumbhe waterfall near Raigad. Police informed that Aanvi slipped and fell into the gorge while shooting a video with her friends.

As soon as the incident happened, her friends informed the police and the locals. The help of the coastguard was also sought. Meanwhile, the heavy rain that lashed affected the rescue operations. Anvi was brought out after six hours of rescue operations. Aanvi, who was seriously injured was taken to Managaon Government Hospital but died during treatment.

Aanvi has more than 250,000 followers on social media. She was known on social media as The Glocal Journal. Anvi has mostly done content featuring travel vlogs, food videos and interesting events. She was a chartered accountant.

She had shared another video on social media two days ago. The video was asking her fans to choose a place to go on a trip on August 15. After her death, the district administration has restricted entry to the waterfall.
