Fishing boat meets with accident in Varkala, three in serious condition

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fishing boat capsized at Vettoor in Varkala. Some other fisherman saved those drowned. Three are in a serious condition and have been admitted at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

Mahin (60), Shahid (35) and Ismail (45) are those hospitalised. The incident happened Tuesday morning at 6 am. The engine of the boat that swayed in the strong winds suffered a technical snag, lost control and overturned. The boat hit the heads of the three and this is the cause of their condition turning serious.
