Jio 5G to roll out by Diwali, service will be first available in four cities

Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced Jio 5G services. The important announcement was made at the annual general meeting.

"Today, I want to announce the next leap forward that Jio is creating in digital connectivity, especially in fixed broadband. That is Jio 5G. With 5G, we will connect 100 million homes with unparalleled digital experiences and Smart Home solutions. With the introduction of 5G in India, the number of devices currently connected to the Internet will increase from 800 million to 1.5 billion within a year", said Ambani.

Jio 5G services will be rolled out by Diwali. The service will be available to selected users at first. Ambani said that 5G services will be launched in four cities in the next two months. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai are the four cities where 5G services will be available.

Ambani also stated that Jio 5G services will reach all parts of the country by December 2023. He added that Jio has invested Rs 2 lakh crore for pan India 5G network.
