Neither 'RRR' or 'Kashmiri Files'; Gujarati film 'Chhello Show' as India's official selection for 95th Oscars

MUMBAI: India has selected its official entry for the upcoming edition of the Academy Awards and it's neither 'RRR' nor 'The Kashmir Files', but is the Gujarati film 'Chhello Show' (The Last Film Show). The film is directed by Pan Nalin.

The Film Federation of India made the announcement about the selection on Tuesday. 'Chhello Show' is going to the Oscars by leaving behind SS Rajamaouli's 'RRR', Vivek Agnihotri's 'Kashmir Files' and Madhavan's 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.'

Starring Bhavin Rabari in the lead role, the film tells the story of a nine-year-old boy who is passionate about cinema. Siddharth Roy Kapur is the producer of the film which will release on October 14 in Gujarat.
