Government gave assurance to only one demand raised by Daya Bai; decisions taken during discussions handed over in writing

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has given a written confirmation to meet the demands made by Daya Bai who was observing a hunger strike demanding justice to Endosulfan victims. The government has not given assurance to all demands. They have only agreed to organize a medical camp. The decisions taken during the discussion of the ministers with the protest committee members has been handed over in a written form to Daya Bai.

Daya Bai has not called off her strike. Ministers Veena George and A R Bindhu have held talks with the protest committee members on Sunday as per the direction of Chief Minister. 81-year-old Daya Bai has been holding a strike in front of the secretariat for 15 days and the government finally intervened.
