Shortage of Aravana cans: HC slams company

hc

KOCHI: The High Court has criticized the contract company for not providing cans on time for the distribution of Aravana in Sabarimala. A division bench comprising Justice Anil K Narendran and Justice PG Ajith Kumar stated that the lapses on the part of the company cannot be allowed to continue.

The intervention of the court was based on the special commissioner's report regarding the failure of the contractor to deliver enough cans. The petition was adjourned to November 28 after the contractor and the Devaswom Board sought time to reply.

Helicopter service: Advertisement is of serious nature
The High Court stated on Thursday that the company's actions were of a severe nature when they advertised a helicopter service to Sabarimala without the Devaswom Board's consent. According to the court, this is a gross violation of the law and creates confusion among devotees. The court clarified that Sabarimala's name and image should not be misused. The case was adjourned to Tuesday.
