Charred body found in forest area in Malampuzha

PALAKKAD: A charred body was found in a forest area in Malampuzha. The body of the man was found in the forest 150 meters away from Pannimada on the Malampuzha-Kanchikode road. The person has not been identified.

The dead body is four days old. The body, which was not completely burnt, was rotting. There are marks of burned clothes and a bag at two places nearby.

The body was first spotted by a forest watcher yesterday evening. Then a police team led by Palakkad ASP Shahul Hameed reached the spot and conducted an inspection. A special investigation team under the leadership of ASP has launched an investigation in the case.
