Man arrested for hurling abuses at Ramya Haridas

ALATHUR: A man has been arrested for hurling abuses at Ramya Haridas MP on the phone. He has been identified as Shibukuttan (49), a resident of Erumeli in Kottayam. He was arrested by the Vadakkancheri police. Police said that he had threatened the MP.


He used to hurl abuses at her constantly on phone. She lodged a complaint despite several warnings. Alathur DySP R Ashokan and his team probed the complaint as per the directive of Palakkad SP R Vishwanath. The accused was arrested from Thoomarampara in Kottayam.
