Rs 9 crore sanctioned for super speciality facilities in district and general hospitals in state: Minister Veena George

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health minister Veena George informed that administrative sanction of Rs 9 crore has been given for strengthening super specialty facilities in various district and general hospitals of the state. The super speciality facilities are being strengthened to provide better treatment services in district and general hospitals. The minister also stated that the money was sanctioned for setting up more facilities in the anaesthesia, cardiology, radiology and urology departments as well as in the ICU and operation theatres.

As part of the implementation of the master plan at Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital, Rs 1.06 crore has been allocated for renovation and provision of services and Rs 40 lakh for renovation of ramp at Thalassery Taluk Hospital.
