Sabarimala: 1,07,260 bookings on Monday, restrictions to manage congestion

PATHANAMTHITTA: 1,07,260 pilgrims have booked for darshan at Sabarimala today. This is the highest booking of this season. This is the second time this season that bookings have crossed the one lakh mark. Police have made special arrangements to control the rush.

Pilgrims will be transferred from Pampa to Sannidhanam in separate blocks in a controlled manner. Sabarimala Special Officer Harishchandra Naik said that more police officers have been assigned at each point for this purpose. Devotees waiting in the queue will be provided light food and drinking water. Apart from the police, service of army personnel, RAF and NDRF will also be used to manage congestion.

77,216 people have booked online for darshan on Tuesday and 64,617 people for December 14.
