Two students drowned in Pannakam ditch in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: Two students drowned in Pannakam ditch near Meenachil River. Karunagapally natives Ajmal (21) and Varkala native Vajan (21) are the deceased. They drowned while bathing.

Both of them are students of Travancore Nursing College, Kollam. The incident happened when the four-member gang entered into the ditch for bathing. They were visiting a friend’s house in Paduva. Although they were rushed to the hospital, their succumbed to death.
