THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After shocking details of job fraud came out, the government has decided not to conduct direct recruitment in any posts in Travancore Titanium Products Ltd. Appointments will be made only through PSC or Public Enterprises Selection Board (KPESB). The orders will be released in the coming days.
APM Muhammad Haneesh, Chairman and Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries, clarified this in a meeting of senior officials at TTPL yesterday. The details including the mode of appointment shall be made public. The action in the wake of a job scam in a public sector company by government.
The Chairman asked the MD and others about the fake interview in Sasikumaran Thambi's cabin. Managing Director George Ninan was tasked with investigating whether anyone else in the company was involved. A comprehensive report should also be submitted.
It was decided that non-employees should be strictly prohibited from entering the TTPL premises and entry for others should be allowed only with special permission in case of emergency. The meeting assessed that since the police investigation is going on, there is no need for further investigation against Sasikumaran Thambi and further steps can be taken according to the findings of the police. It was also discussed that the IT security system of TTPL should be improved. Confidentiality will be ensured by setting up the software so that the officers cannot interfere in the department other than their concerned department.
