A life of extravagance: The story of suspended police officers in Kerala

TRIVANDRUM: The state vigilance has started an investigation against 25 police officers accused of building a fortune out of bribe money mostly associated with gang criminals in the city. Most of the officers under investigation hail from the Trivandrum, Kollam, and Ernakulam districts respectively.

The bank assets of relatives who are suspected to be benamis of these police officers will be checked. It is said that most of the real estate deals and other scuffles in the city are solved by these police officers using these gang criminals. The unholy nexus between many officers in service with gang criminals were discussed earlier.

Recently, People involved in accidents on national highways have reported a loss of their valuables after the police shifted them to hospitals. A search into this case is also active, while the suspects are said to be police officers on patrol. The police officers allying with criminals have made a fortune with bribe money, buying land over prime locations in the city, and by building extravagant houses.
