KOCHI: Youngster who tried to smuggle 2kg of gold packed in plastic bags tied to his legs gets caught at Nedumbassery airport. Abdulla who is a Malappuram native, arrived by Indigo flight. His suspicious walk caught the eye of customs officials and the gold was found in a detailed search.
2kg of gold that was in liquid form was packed in two plastic bags. It was found tied to his legs using sellotapes. In six days customs caught 5kg of gold which is worth two and a half crores from Nedumbassery airport. Gold was caught from Karipur airport as well. Kozhikode native Usman was caught in an attempt to smuggle 76 grams of gold inside his body.
