Gold hidden in inners caught from Trivandrum airport, Tamil Nadu natives arrested

TRIVANDRUM: Gold worth one crore, smuggled from a foreign country to Kerala has been seized by air customs at the Trivandrum airport. The seized material in two separate airlines came from Dubai. Tamil Nadu natives, Shahul Hameed and Muhammad Mubarak have been taken into custody. The one kg 800 grams weighing gold was kept safe inside the inner wears by the arrested ones.

The Tamil Nadu natives arrived at 3:45 am at the Trivandrum international airport. Shahul Hameed then gaited through the lounge in discomfit which caught the eye of customs officials who smelled foul. The metal detector failed to catch the culprits but the customs jumped to the scene and stopped them for questioning to which Shahul denied any wrongdoing. A detailed search brought out the gold which costs around 55 lakhs in the market.
