Garbage scattered on floor of Vande Bharat train; pic goes viral

Vande Bharat was introduced with facilities that would change the face of the country's railway system. Only less than ten Vande Bharat trains are currently running service. Around 400 Vande Bharat trains are expected to be announced in the upcoming budget. But IAS officer Awanish Sharan has shared the picture from Vande Bharat train which is currently in service. In the picture the coach can be seen in a messy condition with garbage scattered on the floor.

The picture of garbage strewn on the floor of the coach of Vande Bharat Express train has become a hot topic on social media. Plastic bottles, containers, plastic bags are seen scattered inside the train. A cleaning worker is also spotted with a broom to clean the floor. He posted the picture with the caption, “We The People”. One user commented that development is of no use until we ourselves develop a basic civic sense. Another commented “We keep asking for better facilities and good infrastructure but people in our country don't know how to keep it clean and take care of it.”
