NM Vijayan's death: Investigation team conducts inspection at IC Balakrishnan MLA's residence

SULTAN BATHERY: The investigation team conducted a search at the residence of MLA IC Balakrishnan in connection with the suicide of DCC Treasurer NM Vijayan. However, reports indicate that no documents beneficial to the case were recovered from the MLA's residence. The investigation is being carried out by a joint team of the Crime Branch and local police, led by Sultan Bathery DySP KK Abdul Shareef.

Due to security concerns, the MLA was questioned at the camp office in Puthurvayal. The court had earlier granted bail to three individuals, including the accused DCC President and former DCC Treasurer, on the condition that they appear before the investigating officer for questioning for three days. The questioning of the other two individuals, excluding the MLA, was conducted from the 20th to the 22nd. The MLA is required to appear before the investigating officer tomorrow as well. Technically, the MLA's arrest is also expected to take place tomorrow.
