NEW YORK: The pilot passed away after fainting in the airplane's restroom mid-flight. The incident occurred on a Latham Airlines flight from Miami, U.S to Santiago, Chile on Sunday. Captain Ivan Andor (56) was the pilot who tragically died. He began to experience discomfort three hours after the flight took off with 271 passengers on board. The crew and some doctors who were passengers attempted emergency treatment but unfortunately their efforts were in vain.

The co-pilot initiated an emergency landing at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City. The medical team arrived promptly but upon examination confirmed that Ivan had died. Ivan was a seasoned pilot with 25 years of experience. The flight continued its journey to Chile on Tuesday.
