Pope Francis discloses health concern with aides; Vatican begins search for successor

ROME: Pope Francis (88) is affected with complex pneumonia and his present condition is said to be extremely serious. After showing signs of dreariness, Pope was rushed to Rome's Gemelli hospital on Friday. The Vatican said he had been diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.

A Vatican spokesman said the Pope had spent the previous day reading holy books and asked the faithful to pray for him.

At the same time, there are also reports about the Pope disclosing to his close aides that he may not survive the health scare this time. As per reports, the Vatican has already begun works to find his successor.
