THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The modern-day cricketing legend 'Kohli' was seen aboard a KSRTC bus recently. Wait, this is not the real Virat Kohli, but a 'Kerala Kohli' that looks like the cricketer. This is Rajeesh, who hails from Pulpally in Wayanad. On seeing him, people gathered around to take a photo of the person with striking resemblance to Kohli. This happened during Rajish's trip to watch the India-South Africa Twenty20 at Kariyavattom. Rajeesh reached Kozhikode by bus from Wayanad and then to Thiruvananthapuram by train. The tickets were given by the Wayanad Cricket Association. and Rajeesh started to be recognized by people after nodding his head at some mimicry venues. He had his own troupe but is no longer active. Rajeesh became popular following his appearances on mimicry stages. This thirty-year-old is an employee of a car spare parts shop in Pulpally. His father Suresh Babu is a carpenter, Mother-Usha. Sister- Ramya. His wife is Arya who is pursuing TTC.

This Kohli wasn't a cricket fan

If the original Kohli is the 'king' of cricket, Kerala Kohli' Rajeesh does not know how to play cricket. He even started watching cricket in the Covid period when his friends told him that he looks like Virat. Later, Rajeesh followed Kohli's style, haircut and mannerism. Now, he never misses India's matches. This is his first time watching an international match live from the stadium. His desire is to meet Kohli and take a selfie.
