SYDNEY: India achieved a stunning victory in Sydney. When captain Gill failed, senior players took the opportunity to lift the team to victory. India put on a firework display in the third match of the India-Australia ODI series. India easily surpassed the target of 237 runs set by Australia. India won against Australia by nine wickets.

Australia, who won the toss and opted to bat first, were unable to perform well in the allotted overs. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli built a great partnership for India. Rohit Sharma took out his brilliant form and led the team to victory.

Rohit completed his century from 105 balls. This is Rohit's 33rd century in ODIs. Virat Kohli, who was out for ducks in the last two ODIs, performed well and scored a half-century of 74 (81). Meantime, Kohli has surpassed Sangakkara to become the second highest run-scorer in ODIs. Only Sachin Tendulkar is ahead of him.
