NEW DELHI: Following the T20 World Cup win, the Indian cricket team has arrived in a chartered flight in Delhi on Thursday morning. The team was stranded in Barbados as harsh weather conditions due to Hurricane Beryl led to the shutdown of Grantley Adams International Airport. Malayali cricketer Sanju Samson, who was part of the World Cup-winning squad, was seen with a smile on his face as he stepped out of Delhi airport.
Sanju Samson is the third Malayali cricketer to win the World Cup after Sunil Valsan and S Sreesanth.
