UDF had not deputed anyone to hold talks with P V Anvar, V D Satheesan criticizes Rahul

KOCHI: Opposition leader V D Satheesan strongly criticized Rahul Mamkootathil MLA for holding discussions with P V Anvar. He said the UDF leadership had not deputed anyone to hold talks with Anvar. V D Satheesan told media that the leadership had decided that the doors on Anvar were closed and said what Rahul did was wrong.

'Rahul will be chided. There is no compromise with someone who has rejected the UDF candidate. The UDF demanded Anvar two things. He should accept our candidate and if agreed, he could come with the UDF. Not a single person from the UDF had made any provocative speech. It is Anvar's choice to contest. The contest in Nilambur is between the LDF and the UDF. The activities of the Left government for nine years will be judged in the by-elections,' added Satheesan.

Meantime, Rahul also came forward responding to the criticism. He told media that if the leadership says that the meeting with Anvar was wrong, he agrees with it, adding that he accepts what the party says. He clarified that he has no ego against the party, what the party says is right, and that he will not speak against the leadership.
