NEW DELHI: The Ministry of External Affairs has rejected the claim that the US is using Indian ports to attack Iran. The clarification comes after former US soldier Colonel Douglas MacGregor's controversial remarks in an interview with an American channel. Colonel Douglas said in the interview that the US is using Indian naval bases in its war against Iran.
‘All our bases have been destroyed. Port facilities have been destroyed. With this, we have to depend on India and Indian ports again. This is what the Navy says," the former American soldier said in the interview. The response to the US rejection was made on the Fact Check account of the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Ministry of External Affairs clarified that the claims made on the American channel that the US Navy is using Indian ports are fake and false. The Ministry also warned that one should be vigilant against such baseless and fabricated statements.
