WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has announced that the 12-day war is ending and that Israel and Iran have fully accepted a complete ceasefire. Trump informed on his Truth social media site that the ceasefire will take effect in the coming hours.

'Congratulations everyone! Israel and Iran have agreed to a complete ceasefire (approximately six hours after Israel and Iran complete their final missions). At this point, the war can be considered over. Officially, Iran will begin a ceasefire. At the 12th hour, Israel will also begin a ceasefire. At the 24th hour, there will be an official end to the 12-day war. The world will accept that.

Every ceasefire will continue to be peaceful and respectful. I applaud the courage shown by both countries to end the 12-day war. This is a war that should have lasted for years. The entire Middle East could have been destroyed, but it didn't happen, and it never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, God bless the world!' - Trump said on Truth Social.

Meantime, Iran rejected Trump's ceasefire announcement. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said there was no agreement on a ceasefire or an end to military operations. However, he added that they have no interest in continuing the conflict if Israel ends its illegal aggression. Israel has not yet responded to Trump's ceasefire announcement.
