KANNUR: Former KPCC President K. Sudhakaran, MP, has clarified that reports circulated by certain media outlets claiming he would leave the Congress party to form a new organisation on election day were published with malicious intent.

"The baseless news, initially broadcast by one channel, was subsequently picked up by several online platforms and the digital wings of mainstream media. Such attempts to obscure the truth and mislead the public are a blatant violation of media ethics," he pointed out.

"Strong legal action will be taken against those responsible for spreading this fake news. My commitment to the Indian National Congress remains unwavering," he declared. Sudhakaran added that a strong public sentiment against the current Left government has already taken hold in the state, and he predicted that the UDF will return to power with a significant majority.
